I began practicing Yoga in 2010 and loved the way it helped my body and mind feel. I practiced mostly Anusara and Vinyasa Yoga for a few years until I noticed that I had some aches that began surfacing. They were not the normal muscle soreness aches after a good workout, they were deeper and didn't stay away for too long. I took a break from Yoga for a bit to see if that would make me feel better. It didn't, so I resumed my practice but this time I added some Yin and Restorative classes to my Yoga repertoire, hoping that these styles would alleviate any aches. I modified my poses, went to multiple Dr.'s, physical therapy, acupuncture, etc. but whatever I did was not helping the deep aches go away. Fast Forward to 2022, I finally went to a Dr. (Rheumatologist) who understood what I was going through, he pressed on the 18 pressure points of Fibromyalgia, they were all extremely tender. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I made it to the elevator, and when the doors closed, I burst into tears. Not because of the diagnosis, but because the Dr. listened to me, finally giving me some validation. I could begin to practice and teach yoga with a definitive goal, to help others that may have musculoskeletal issues like I do.

I began my Yoga trainings in children's Yoga, and started: Blooming Kids Yoga with Polly, LLC in 2017. I had a blast teaching Yoga to children, ages 2-12 for a few years, but eventually I did have to stop teaching kids when my body could just not keep up with them anymore.

I changed my goals and began formal Yoga Teacher training in Asheville, NC. while living amongst the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.

I received my 200 hr. in 2019, and my 300 hr. in 2021, all through The Asheville Yoga Center. I also continue training to meet the needs of different yoga clients.

Recently I just moved back to South Florida where I am looking forward to spending loads of time with my two beautiful daughters, son-in-law, and my precious Grandson.

I spent almost 33 years teaching elementary education at Redland Elem. in Miami-Dade, Fl. Spending that much time with children brought me patience, love, and an understanding of the differences we all have.  I hope to share the same values with you!

My goal is to bring the joy of Yoga to those who need help in finding a tool to begin to feel better about their body and mind.
